Japan!
Whoops I have a bit of a backlog of posts! I’ve been a bit preoccupied in the evenings lately, spending all my free time trying to plan my trip to Japan!!! I’m sort of ridiculously excited about it (2 1/2 more weeks to go!!), if you can’t already tell from my exclamation point abuse.

I’ll be going for 3 weeks – staying in Osaka, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Kyoto, and Tokyo. I’ve been to Tokyo on short stopovers before, but this will be the first time I’ll be venturing beyond! Things I’m definitely going to see are: Giant Gundam in Shizuoka, the Tokyo Game Show, Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum, and the bar where you are served by monkeys.
I’ve also got a list of food places I’ve got to hit up (Pierre Hermé here I come….!! Takoyaki here I come!! ) – but if anyone’s been before, I’d love any of your recommendations (food-related or otherwise). Is there anything you think I should definitely visit or see? The quirkier the better!

Hey! I didn’t get a chance to do this, but there’s a museum that is popular for first dates with the young’ns, it’s a museum of strange diseases and anatomy in Tokyo.

This is nothing fancy but if you’re heading to Akihabara, go to this takoyaki stall on the main road, it’s across the road from Mister Donut, from memory. They do an awesome cheese-mayo takoyaki there. But be careful, it was REALLY hot.
