LNC - Three colour ice
Three colour ice

I hope everyone knows about LNC Dessert House by now! Off Liverpool St yeah? With the crazy colours inside? Little red tables? Anime chibis printed on the walls? Yeah you know the one!

If not? Well! I hope you like dessert! I’m always on the look out for late night dessert places in the city. There’s a few things a good dessert venue needs to have (in my opinion).

1. Good desserts (a given)
2. Place to sit down
3. Open late (how are you supposed to have dessert after dinner, if your place closes early!)
4. Not be obnoxious.

The WORST is when a place fulfills the first three, but then pathetically falls down in the 4th. Prohibitive minimum spend/minimum order per person when all of your tables are empty? Ridiculous surcharges? Not serving water? = OBNOXIOUS.

Happily LNC, fulfills all 4! With the added bonus of being cheap, boasting a huge selection of Asian desserts and with an extremely cute (if slightly hyperactive) fit out.

I’m not Malaysian, or Indo – so I can’t say whether this three colour ice is authentic or not – but with green noodly bits of cendol, palm seeds and jackfruit – palm sugar, coconut milk on-top a pyramid of shaved ice – it’s refreshing and delicious. You can also order an Ais Kacang – with multicoloured shaved ice and your choice of 5 toppings.

Pretty good!

Where else do you recommend for dessert?
